Wednesday, September 19th, 2001: Adlam Hurls Rays to Shutout Win
According to Sal Adlam of the Morant Rays, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 2-0 victory over Halfwaytree.

He blanked them on a 5-hitter, allowed 2 walks and had 1 strikeout. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Adlam said.

His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."

Monday, September 3rd, 2001: South League Picks Top Performer
His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Steffen Patie was rewarded with the South League Player of the Week honors.

The scrappy Halfwaytree Browns right fielder hit .458 while collecting 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.

To date this year Patie is batting .320 with 36 home runs.

Saturday, September 1st, 2001: Patie Wins Best Bat Trophy in August
August's Batter of the Month Award has been given out by the South League. This month's trophy was presented to the Halfwaytree right fielder, Steffen Patie.

He starred by hitting .388 with a .475 on-base percentage, totaled 40 hits in 103 at-bats, 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 20 runs.

Patie currently has a .320 batting average with 157 hits, 36 homers, 95 RBIs, 81 runs scored and a .399 OBP.
